Authorship criteria

Movere Journal stipulates that authorship is given to individuals who make intellectual and substantive contributions to the planning, implementation, evaluation, and preparation of articles resulting from community service activities. The determination of authors must reflect the real contribution of each individual and his or her responsibility to the content of the published article. All individuals listed as authors must meet the authorship criteria set by the journal. On the other hand, individuals who meet the authorship criteria should not be removed from the list of authors without a justifiable reason

Authorship Criteria A person can be listed as an article author on Movere Journal if he meets all of the following criteria:

  1. Substantive contribution to activities. To make meaningful contributions to the conception or design of community service activities, analysis of partner needs, development of interventions, implementation of activities, data collection, evaluation, analysis, or interpretation of activity results.
  2. Involvement in the preparation of articles. Participate in the drafting of articles or conduct substantive review and revisions of the intellectual content of articles, including methods, results, discussions, and conclusions.
  3. Final manuscript approval. Read, approve, and give approval to the final version of the article to be submitted for publication.
  4. Responsibility and accountability. Willing to take responsibility for their contributions to the article, help ensure the integrity and accuracy of the content of the article, and cooperate in following up on questions or concerns related to the accuracy, validity, and ethics of publications.

These four criteria must be met by each author. Individuals who make substantive contributions in the early stages of the activity should be given the opportunity to be involved in the preparation or revision of the article in order to fully meet the authorship criteria.

Involvement in field activities alone does not automatically grant authorship rights. The contribution must be accompanied by the fulfillment of all authorship criteria as outlined

Order of Authors and Authors of Correspondence

The order of authors is determined by mutual agreement based on the magnitude of each individual's scientific and intellectual contribution to the activities and preparation of articles. The determination of the order of authors is not solely based on position, seniority, academic status, or institutional position.

The first author is generally an individual who makes a major contribution to the activities and preparation of the article, as agreed by the authors. The author of the correspondence is responsible for communication with the editor and the journal manager, ensuring the completeness of the submission documents, conveying information to all authors, and coordinating responses to the editorial process. The author of the correspondence is obliged to ensure that all authors have agreed to the order of authorship, the content of the manuscript, and the submission of the article to the Movere Journal.

Author Contributions Statement

Each article submitted to Movere Journal is required to include a statement of contribution by each author. The statement must describe the contributions that were actually made during the planning, implementation, evaluation of activities, and preparation of the article. Authors can use roles based on CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy), as long as they are consistent with actual contributions. Relevant roles include conceptualization, methodology, investigation, data curation, formal analysis, visualization, initial draft writing, writing—review and editing, and supervision. Example of a statement of contribution:

  • The first author: conceptualization of activities, method development, implementation of activities, analysis of results, and preparation of an initial draft of the article.
  • The second author: the implementation of activities, data collection and curation, interpretation of results, and substantive revision of articles.
  • Third author: supervision of activities, validation of results, critical review, and revision of manuscripts.
  • All authors: read and approve the final version of the article and are responsible for the integrity of their contributions.

The example is illustrative only. The author is obliged to tailor the contribution statement to the real involvement of each individual.
