The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of competence on employee performance at the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Center Region IV Makassar. The analysis techniques used are simple linear regression, correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, and t-test. The sample of this study is the State Civil Apparatus which totals 83 people. The results of the study show that competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance
