Pengaruh Technological Capital terhadap Narsisme CEO di Perusahaan Manufaktur

Abstract

Keberhasilan transformasi digital di perusahaan diduga dapat meningkatkan rasa percaya diri CEO untuk mampu berkompetisi di era disrupsi saat ini sehingga tujuan penelitian ini menguji apakah pengungkapan technological capital atau hasil adaptasi teknologi dan latar belakang pendidikan teknologi direksi berpengaruh terhadap narsisme CEO. Kajian ini menggunakan data sekunder perusahaan manufaktur di Indonesia dari tahun 2015 – 2020 dengan observasi valid sebanyak 272. Hasilnya pengungkapan technological capital positif signifikan terhadap narsisme CEO, artinya kemampuan perusahaan beradaptasi dengan teknologi dan adanya latar belakang pendidikan teknologi direksi memberikan CEO rasa percaya diri sekaligus memberikan keyakinan bila upaya digitalisasi akan terus dilakukan. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini ada dua. Pertama, menjadi bukti pentingnya melihat rekam jejak latar belakang pendidikan teknologi ketika melakukan rekrutmen atau penunjukan CEO untuk program digitalisasi yang berkelanjutan. Kedua, memberikan optimisme awal untuk mencari pendanaan untuk membiayai program digitalisasi tersebut.
